Singapore, October – Curtin University alumni in Singapore gathered for a memorable evening at the Intercontinental Singapore on 25 September. The annual Alumni Sundowner event brought together over 150 alumni and staff for a night of networking, socializing, and celebrating the vibrant Curtin community.
The event was graced by the presence of Curtin University Vice-Chancellor Harlene Hayne, Professor Alex Stojcevski, the newly appointed Pro Vice-Chancellor and President of Curtin Singapore, Mr James Chen, PBM, President of Curtin University Alumni Singapore (CUASC), Mr Edmund Seng and Mr Paul Tham, PBM, past President of CUASC. The evening provided a platform for alumni to reconnect with old friends, forge new connections, and share their experiences.
The highlight of the event was a captivating guest speech delivered by Lorena Paglia, a Curtin MBA graduate and Microsoft Data AI, Global Business Programs and Operations Lead. Paglia's insights and experiences inspired the audience and sparked engaging discussions.
"It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and meet new alumni at the Sundowner," said Matthew Loo, a Curtin alumnus attending the event. "It's a fantastic opportunity to stay connected to the university and the wider Curtin community."
