Receiving the Outstanding Alumni Association Award at the Australia Alumni Singapore


Singapore, 19 October 2024 – The Australia Alumni Singapore (AAS) Gala Dinner 2024 was a resounding success, bringing together a vibrant community of Australia University alumni for an evening of celebration, networking, and recognition.


The event was filled with laughter, dancing, and excitement as alumni reconnected with old friends and forged new connections. Attendees enjoyed a delightful dinner while mingling and participating in the lively lucky draw.


Recognizing CUASC (Outstanding Alumni Association Award)


One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of the Outstanding Alumni Association Award to CUASC. The award recognized the hard work and dedication of the CUASC committee in supporting the AAS and fostering a strong alumni community. CUASC President Mr. James Chen, PBM, proudly accepted the award on behalf of the committee, from Mr Peter Ong Boon Kwee, Chairman of Enterprise Singapore in the presence of Mr Allaster Cox, Australia High Commissioner and Mr Rajaneesh Kurup, President of Australia Alumni Singapore (AAS).


Developing Strong Ties with Curtin Singapore



The dinner was also graced by the presence of guests from Curtin Singapore, including Ms. Wong Lee Nah, Director and Head of Academic Services, and Carmen Wong, Director of Marketing and Admissions. Their presence fostered closer connections between the university and the alumni committee.


During the dinner, the CUASC representatives engaged in meaningful discussions with Ms. Wong Lee Nah and Ms. Carmen Wong, exploring potential areas for collaboration and future projects. These discussions laid the groundwork for strengthening the partnership between Curtin Singapore and the alumni community, opening doors for exciting initiatives that could benefit both parties.
